Lets
face it, if you surf you're pretty lucky. I mean you
must have enough free time and cash to afford what the
Hawaiians called the sport of kings. Spread the Love.
No need to selfishly snake your fellow surfer, and no
need to get all agro if you get snaked. Every day
you're in the water should be a day you walk around with
a big ol' Cheshire Cat grin on your face.
At
Waterdog we try to take this mentality from the water to
the shore. We encourage our customers, employees, and
owners for that matter, to take up a cause and "Stand Up
for Something". With our environmental policies and
corporate policies we consider the ethic of reciprocity
to be central to our culture. Waterdog exclusively
engages in business activities that are beneficial to
our customers as well as society as a whole. Examples
include our dedication to the utilization of organic
materials in fabrication, our commitment to minimization
of energy consumption and greener technologies, and our
continual ethical evaluation program.
Also,
we try to keep it local, having as much manufacturing
done at the point of sale as possible. That means, if
you live in Southern California and order a shirt, you
will likely get a shirt made in the Southern California
area, which will help support the local economies.
Waterdog will continue this philosophy as the brand
becomes more global. In addition to support for the
local economies, this also reduces emissions related to
transporting goods all around the globe. |
